What is a Smart Transport System (STS)?
STS is a system that integrates modern information, communication, telematics, and control technologies. It automatically discovers and applies the optimal management scenarios for a regional transport system, for a specific vehicle, or a group of vehicles. The goal of the system is to:
- Enable the required population mobility
- Maximize the road network utilization indicators
- Increase the transportation safety and efficiency
- Ensure comfort for drivers and commuters
